For an introduction to volunteering at Project SAVE Archives, watch the short video at the right made by one of our interns, Tariq Atiyat. Tariq created this video during a workshop introducing "Confectionary," a Rich Media storytelling software under development by PhD candidate Aisling Kelliher in the Media Fabrics Group of the MIT Media Lab. The workshop was led by Glorianna Davenport, Principal Research Associate and Aisling's advisor, and Jacqueline Karaaslanian, Special Projects Coordinator.
Like many not-for-profit cultural organizations, Project SAVE Archives depends upon the services of its dedicated volunteers.
As a photograph archives, we have many jobs that use a variety of skills, skills that you might enjoy sharing with us. Whether you are a student in high school or college, a working person, or a retiree, if you love history and photographs and would like to know more about Armenian people and their culture, please think about volunteering at Project SAVE Archives.
It is important to us that we provide our volunteers with work they love to do. We appreciate that when you volunteer, you want to learn new things and accomplish something meaningful and worthwhile. With thousands of fascinating photographs that reveal histories seldom told before, Project SAVE can help you fulfill these goals.
The following partial list outlines the range of Project SAVE's volunteer opportunities. Please think about what you might like to do - even if it is not on the list. We would love to hear from you.
